The model was stitched on a 32ct Zweigart Linen in raw, but you could stitch it on a pale blue or green too? If you are wanting to stitch it onto a cream or white background, then you may need to choose a new colour for the snowflakes and candle sticks.
Stitch count 159 x 201 (landscape orientation)
Total of 12,308 stitches, all full cross.
14ct / 28ct: approx. 11 1/2" x 14 1/2", or 29cm x 36cm
(so would advise starting with a 16 1/2" x 19 1/2", or 39cm x 46cm piece of fabric, or bigger)
16ct / 32ct: approx. 10" x 12 1/2", or 25.5cm x 31cm
(so would advise starting with a 15" x 17 1/2", or 35.5cm x 41cm piece of fabric, or bigger)
18ct / 36ct: approx. 8 3/4" x 11 1/4", or 22cm x 28.5cm
(so would advise starting with a 13 3/4" x 16 1/4", or 32cm x 38.5cm piece of fabric, or bigger)
20ct / 40ct: approx. 8" x 10", or 20.5cm x 25.5cm
(so would advise starting with a 13" x 15", or 30.5cm x 30.5cm piece of fabric, or bigger)
There are 12 DMC colours used.
It is designed for competent beginners and uses whole cross stitches, with a very minimal amount of back stitching. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you experience any difficulty understanding the pattern or instructions.
